Suzanne Jalot

Suzanne has lived in the south most of her life so it confuses people when she says she doesn’t enjoy sweet tea! As Chief Development Officer, Suzanne leads the team at WARM NC that is focused on fundraising and communications. It’s her job to make sure people are aware of the impact WARM NC has on the community and the individual families we serve and to encourage others to join our mission. She brings to WARM a solid background in communications strategy with expertise in internal and external branding, marketing, and media relations. Prior to joining WARM, she spent several years in broadcasting both behind the mic and in front of the camera.

In her spare time, you can find her exploring the Cape Fear and beyond with her rescue dog and constant companion, Griffin. She also admits to being quite obsessed with thrift shopping, baby goats, and gardening.

Here are three fun facts about Suzanne:

1. When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a private investigator when I grew up. I even had business cards made!

2. The most inspiring part of my job is hearing the stories of the people we serve. Everyone has a story and their story isn’t about what WARM does or how we helped them. It’s about who they are and how they’ve experienced the world. They are real people, with real, fascinating stories.
