John is a U.S. Army veteran and has lived in his mobile home for 25 years. He worked hard remodeling it over the years to make the space his own. An accident in 2018 left him disabled with chronic pain. He was unable to maintain all the upkeep himself. New front steps and other safety repairs were badly needed.
WARM volunteers made up of employees from veteran-owned company Optimum Fire & Security went to work building him a new landing and steps, replaced his exterior door, and made repairs to the roof and floors. John also helped work on the repairs and now feels much safer in his home.
