Tom Burns

A North Carolina licensed General Contractor with over 40 years of construction experience, Tom uses his knowledge to help WARM achieve its goal of providing low-income homeowners with quality repairs and accessibility upgrades. Tom manages the construction team, coordinates volunteers, meets personally with each homeowner, completes cost estimates, oversees the purchase of materials and skilled trade labor.

A caring and mission-oriented man, Tom especially enjoys working with the homeowners and volunteers. His position with WARM does not feel like "work," but like fulfilling a calling. Tom is husband to Jennipher, a father of one daughter and four sons, and a grandfather of eight.

1. The last book I read was The Bible.

2. The most inspiring part of my job is when one of the homeowners goes out of their way to say thanks.

3. When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a race car driver when I grew up.
